Hi, I tried re-installing Catalina, but it still doesn't work. I was using an old version on a previous computer - 2.3.3. After the re-installation the blank audacity.cfg folder that was there before has vanished. I've created a new one in text edit and no joy. It still doesn't work.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Apologies, I'm a complete novice. How do you reinstall Catalina?

Ignore the last comment. I found RMS Normalise, but when I put the Limiter setting to -3.5 it told me I was still over. I changed it to -3 and it worked. Is this a recent ACX update or is there another setting that isn't quite right?

I cannot find RMS Normalise in Effects. Normalise is there, but when I tried to apply that it clearly didn't work. Do you know where it might be?

Hi there. I'm sorry if this question has been asked over and over again. I have a couple of .aup files I haven't opened for a couple of months. I've now come back to them and Audacity is telling me that it can't find the project data folder. Is there a way of opening or recovering this file?
