Re: audio capture from speakers

That garage door will definitely need covering like you are doing. It just struck me, wonder if that garage door can double up as a plate reverb? Although not free hanging, it will have some form of rubber wheels running on a rail, so it will provide some decoupling from the support mechanism. Scree...

Re: audio capture from speakers

You'll probably find that a messy garage (or other room), probably helps reduce reverb,
by a combination of absorption and reflections at different angles.
Good excuse not to clean up. ;)

Is that a carpet on your garage floor?
That helps too.

Only thing you can really do is, filter it (low pass at about 2KHz), compress it (4:1 ratio, attack 40mS, release 100mS) and slow it down by 10% or so. Mon français est terrible..but at least now I can understand a few words, where as before, it was just "garbled noise". It will never be perfect, or...

Re: Convert Label text to LRC file

Very nice idea @bigboss97.
Clever use of "mod-pipe".
I don't have any use for karaoke but, your script has given me other ideas, thank you.

BTW
You mention in your video that $ marks end of line, what happens if the lyrics contain..."Gimme my $100, bro"... : by rap artist 49 cents :D

Re: Nyquist Drum Replacer

Tapping will work and also, as you know, there is a click track which can be useful in certain situations. It would be perfectly sufficient for each recorded track to be one drum only Absolutely, sorry if my explanation was not clear. What I meant was, using your drum machine to create separate trac...

Re: Nyquist Drum Replacer

Thank you Steve. That works nicely. Considering how many options have been discussed on this thread, perhaps it's best not to make one single plugin, but a few of them. The general idea is to enable the creation of a simple song using only Audacity. So one track for bass drum, another for hi-hats, c...
