Re: FFmpeg plugin fails [Solved]
Hello, ArtInvent! You could try the repository from where I got a now working Audacity + ffmpeg. The location is found at https://launchpad.net/~philip5 There you will find the address to Philip's repo as well as the security key. And despite that Philip is a swede, the pages are in English. Audacit...

Amplifying L and R differently
Hello!
I know there is an "Amplify" function in the effects menu. But how can I have a different amount of amplify for left and right channels? The need for that may occur when importing sound from a cassette tape. Often one of the channels has a slightly lower level than the other.

I have downloaded and compiled the latest svn from ffmpeg, using the --enable-shared configure option. And I have...

FFmpeg plugin fails [Solved]
Hello! I have successfully down loaded and installed Audacity beta 1.3.7. However, activating the ffmpeg export/import utility fails, when I try to activate it in Edit > Preferences > Export/Import. Audacity asks me to locate a file libavformat.so.52. Despite that I locate it under /usr/lib, mark it...
