I finally solved the problem!

Just uninstalled Microsoft C++ Redistributable VS 2015 and installed it again.

The only references that I can find to this specific error are with unofficial builds of Audacity. Where did you get Audacity from? (please post a link to the web page).

I downloaded Audacity from the official website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Never used any version of Audacity. This is the first time i install it on my pc.

Audacity requires "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 " which may not be present on older Windows systems. You can get it from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/downloa ... x?id=48145

I have Visual C++ Redistributable for VS 2015 version 14.0.24215.1 installed.
