Try as I might, I can't get the UR12 to work with Audacity. I'm sure it's something in the audio settings. I've tried every permutation without success. Has anyone got further insights? It works fine on Windows7 so I imagine the problem is to do with a (non-existent) driver. Is there something I can...

Before I purchase a microphone to USB (A2D converter) preamp, do I need a special driver for Linux?
I previously used a Roland Duo-Capture that did not need a special driver.

Steve, Thanx for your reply. In the interim I dropped the monitor to 1600x900 and while it may impact on some other programs, it is the best solution (so far).
