Q re Project Rate for transferring Vinyl and Cassettes
Using Audacity 2.2.2 and Windows 10. I watched a YouTube tutorial involving an obviously older version of Audacity with a Behringer UFO202 U-Phono analog to digital converter that said when selecting the recording input to click on the recording microphone and Properties and Advanced and change the ...

Re: Individual tracks failed to export with 2.2.2 and Windows 10
Forget that last question about how to correct the audio track with proper markers. I disabled the scrub track per your instructions and then read the Audacity manual about how to properly label tracks and export. I x-ed out the vertical lines below the wave file that had what appeared to be track l...

How Albums are identified/organized with 2.2.2 and Windows 10
Now that I have converted a couple of albums, using export multiple, I open my music folder where I directed Audacity to save them and the organization is strange to me. I imagine these can be re-arranged, but the columns are: Name, # (track), Title (of track), Contributing Artist, Album. originally...

FLAC vs 16-bit PCM vs 32-bit floar for Vinyl and Cassette
When exporting Vinyl that has been transferred to digital via Audacity 2.2.2 in Windows 10, I noticed that FLAC results in no loss of data but WAV is preferred, I think, for later use in an iPod. I am therefore saving two copies of every album in FLAC and WAV. Is this a waste of space and effort. Sh...

Re: Individual tracks failed to export with 2.2.2 and Windows 10
Thanks WC. I there a way to correct the audio file I have already recorded by editing in some way to insert the track marker labels correctly? I still have it open in Audacity as it existed when I exported it originally. Or, should I close the open file and open the saved music file from my music fo...

Individual tracks failed to export with 2.2.2 and Windows 10
Audacity 2.2.2 and Windows 10. Assigned track labels for my vinyl transfer...found moving the vertical line around to mark the track very tricky...placing the line for the first time and pressing play worked but moving the line resulted in audio then following my cursor to play forward and backward....

Re: Full on clipping with 2.2.2 and windows 10
Thanks for the prompt reply, Steve! Those of your suggestions I think I followed properly...such as turning down the recording volume and insuring no boost in the sound control panel...did not help. However, the problem was fixed when I switched the Behringer converter from "Phono" to "Line." This e...

Full on clipping with 2.2.2 and windows 10
Hi. First time user transferring vinyl through an analog-digital via Behringer UFO202 U-Phono converter after searching how to on YouTube. When I record the squiggly blue lines that extend above and below the center mark appear maxed out at top and bottom no matter how low the play volume on the ste...
