The UCA200 does show up in both the Windows Control Panel and Audacity. And I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for it three days ago. I can hear playback from Audacity through the UCA200. That's how it works - that way I can use the mixer's headphone jack to monitor the recording going on...

I have Windows XP, but I'm afraid all of my settings in the Control Panel are correct according to that article. It's just that each time I record a new track, it re-records all the other tracks with it as well. Could this be a problem that's being caused by the mixer's settings, and not Audacity?

The headphones are plugged into the "Phons/Ctrl" jack on the Mixer. And the UCA200 does not have a power supply independent of what it derives from the PC. My PC has two USB jacks. I've tried both of them with no success.

UPDATE: I just reversed the RCA cables from the UCA200 to the 1222FX mixer; now I can "see" the audio coming into Audacity, but everything is MUCH quieter.
