I am using Audacity 2.3.3 / Windows 10, with M-Audio M-Track 8 interface. There have been no driver updates for this interface since 2015. Up until this morning the Audacity version I was using was 2.3.1. Just a few days ago I was recording with no problems. This morning when I tried recording with ...

Recording position
After I pull in an MP3 to record around, the audio position is at 00h00m00s. Yet when I hit record it starts recording at the end of the MP3. I cannot figure out why this is happening.
Please, somebody help.

Re: Pitch change
Okay...I have both record and playback going through the M-Track 8 and still the same problem. The playback pitch is 1/2 step lower than what was recorded. Actually I can't tell if it the play back that's playing 1/2 step lower or if it was recorded that way. Also, I failed to mention before, when I...

Re: Pitch change
Pitch drops a half step. I'm using M-Track 8 from M-Audio for recording. Playing back goes through the sound card in my laptop. It's been that way for years with no problem. But now we have problems. Why?

Pitch change
When playing back clips the pitch has changed. I have not recorded in several weeks when playing back recordings was fine. During that time I did receive a Windows update. Though I have restored my system back to before the updates were installed, I still have this problem. I was using 2.2.2 Beta. I...

Re: Tracks automatically being deleted....
I was using 2.2.1 and was also getting a message when “Updating” that said the file already exists...pick another name. So I did. Still, tracks were being deleted.
I have since downloaded 2.2.2 beta, but have not given it a test run yet.

Tracks automatically being deleted....
Either while recording or when trying to save a project tracks are automatically being deleted. They are even being deleted in the saved file. When I try to reopen the file I get the following message.... “Project check of “xxxx” folder detected 22 missing audio data (.au) blockfiles probably due to...
