Scheduling Audacity events?

Is there any way to start and stop recording in Audacity by schedules events.
I would like to record 15 one-hour tracks on Saturdays and again on Sundays.
Right now, I end up with one 15-hour track for each day.

New to Audacity but cannot get it to work

I have 2.1.0 on my system and cannot get it to record. I have audio files that I can play reliably and can edit but recording is a problem.
My main source is from web sites.
How do I start diagnosing the problem?
