Lots of HD room. Disk Utility says no problems. Permissions ok.
The installation instructions say not to launch Audacity from the dmg file. However after failing to install numerous times, I did try that and it worked. I was able to edit a file, save and reopen it. Not sure how that impacts anything.

Problem installing 2.2.2 on 10.6.3
I'm trying to install Audacity on an older iMac running 10.6.3. I found this file on the Legacy Mac page [Mac OS X 10.6: Audacity 2.2.2 (.dmg 32.7 MB)] which I downloaded. When I try to drag the Audacity folder from the DMG I get the message "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data...

Thanks, Steve! That was it. I've never had to do that before. I see it is something new in Mojave.

Audacity not receiving audio [SOLVED]
I'm recording cassettes and records with an external USB DAC. I've been doing this for some time with out major problems. I recently upgraded to Mojave (10.14.2) and I cannot get any sound to come through Audacity. The input for both Audacity and iMac is set for USB AUDIO CODEC and output is set to ...

Leveler plug-in
In 2.1.0 there was a plug-in called Leveler. It worked fairly well for what I need. It does not appear in 2.2 or 2.3. Where can I find that particular plug-in and install it in 2.3?

Re: Cannot install plug-in [SOLVED]
Thanks. It was the "hidden" part that was confusing me. I was trying to find it without using the Go dialog.

Cannot install plug-in [SOLVED]
Audacity 2.2.2; OS 10.13.6 In my applications folder there is a plug-ins folder and a nyquist folder. All of those plug-ins show up in Audacity. I downloaded and added a new plug-in called LevelSpeech.ny to that folder. After re-launching Audacity it does not show up in the app or in the Add/Remove ...

Initial import is taking too long to save.
OS 10.13.6
I just installed version 2.2.2. After importing a 60mb mp3 file, the initial save takes more than three minutes. Version 2.1.0 was only taking 10 or 12 seconds. The Quality and Import/Export preferences are the same. What could be causing this?
