Thanks for your explanation and your advice.
As for the re-encoding matter I had to do it anyway because the original songs were mp3 and the CD I wanted to make had to be AIFF since my commercial CD player doesn't read MP3 records.

Nyquist Replaygain effect

The Replaygain effect seems very effective. However when using the new "Normalize" option, the duration of all the resulting tracks is set to the duration of the longest one. I'm speaking of the duration info shown in the Finder or in Toast. The actual duration is nonetheless correct. Am I doing som...

I'm a newbie to this forum as well as to Audacity ... I've downloaded the Replaygain plug-in and put it in the plug-ins folder inside the Audacity folder. However, the corresponding effect doesn't show under the Effect menu. I tried also the nyquist folder but to no avail. What am I missing ? Thanks...
