For VST support in Audacity, I suggest you uninstall the Mint-packaged version of Audacity 2.0.5 then install the Ubuntu Handbook 2.1.2 PPA version of Audacity from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+archive/ubuntu/audacity. How to install VST plug-ins? [SOLVED]
I want to install GSnap plug-in. I pasted GSnap.so file to /usr/bin/plug-ins, then I pressed Edit -> Preferences... -> Effects, but I didn't find "VST Effects" groupbox.
