Linking CD tracks together

I am a very basic Audacity user. I don't do any recording; I use it 99% of the time for its pitch changing function, because I am a musician who plays alone along with CDs, and it allows me to not have to re-tune my guitar for various songs. I have also been trying to use Audacity to "link" together...

Re: "Blending" songs (?)

I'll guess that you have WMP 11. I have version 10. Similar story as my iTunes story. Tried it, didn't care for it, and reverted back. No WAV in the drop-down list; only WMA and MP3. This is only one album in a collection of well over a hundred that I am talking about here. You guys have been great,...

Re: "Blending" songs (?)

I'm pretty sure about this: WMP only allows ripping in two formats: WMA and MP3. I don't have iTunes; I tried it once a couple of years ago, and did not like it for my own reasons, and I am not willing to install it again. I do have "SUPER". I'm assuming a little bit that you are familiar with it, b...

Re: "Blending" songs (?)

I'm afraid that I am stuck before even getting started. How do I go about ripping the CDs in WAV format? Thank you.

Re: "Blending" songs (?)

Thank you for the replies. The gaps are only a split-second, but just enough to be annoying (at least, to me). I have been unsuccessful locating any "play as a whole" option, if you will, on my player. I realized from the start that making the entire album one track would make skipping from song to ...

"Blending" songs (?)

Hello. I could not think of a good subject title. I apologize. I put a "live" CD on my MP3 player. You know how a live album is: it's like one long continuous song, because you hear the crowd between songs. Even though the CD is divided into tracks, you hear continuous sound when you play the CD on ...

Re: Using Audacity to equalize tracks prior to burning

I did some web searching, and I found a free program specifically designed to do exactly what I have been trying to do. It works well. I would like to thank you for your time, and I hope that you don't feel that you have wasted it, as I have very much enjoyed learning about Audacity. Thank you again.

Re: Using Audacity to equalize tracks prior to burning

Checking the forum one last time for the night, then I'm logging off. I will try your instructions when I get a chance, and then post back. Thank you.

Re: Using Audacity to equalize tracks prior to burning

Thank you for the reply. The version of Audacity that I have is 1.2.6. I reread my last post, and double-checked. It is indeed accurate. The description that I gave in the last post is exactly what I did. Rather than attempt to explain it all again in even greater detail, as that would make a length...
