Soundblaster use
Use windows 10 and audacity 3.0.0 Trying to record audio using audacity...originally used Soundblaster x-fi go! pro with no problem (model 1290, apparently no longer supported [although support still tried to help])...did some sort of reset and tried re-loading soundblaster CD (that came with origin...

Re: no audio in
Thx. think you're on the right track...something seems to have to learn what's going on. Thought it was Audacity, but could be windows. I am not a computer or tech guy and still have no clue how windows 10 works. (basically hate it...still stuck on windows 7 which I finally got used to and liked). T...

no audio in
Using windows 10, have used audacity successfully for months with same mic and Soundblaster USB sound card. Recently did some things to record audio from cassette, and now cannot get any audio reading using the mic...just a flat line instead of wave form. Have done Transport>rescan audio devices (no...

Re: bad audio transferring from cassette
Your comments are very helpful. Switched from ear phones jack to line out RCA jack. Plugged it in to 3.5mm soundblaster mic in port (the USB soundblaster unit I have does not have a line input, only mic in). Wave form on Audacity is no longer "clipped/limited" at plus or minus 5 dB as before..., but...

Re: bad audio xfering from cassette
As mentioned in previous message, I am connected OK and get audio into computer. That's not the problem. Problem is quality of audio once it's in Audacity and "clipped", "limited", "flat" wave form at -5 and +5 dB. When first tried it wave form was all the way top to bottom (but distorted, which I w...

bad audio transferring from cassette
