MP3 Export garbled
I'm having trouble getting a clean MP3 Lame copy. Normally, I wouldn't have the ear to notice a difference between WAV and MP3, but now my MP3 exports are really sounding ugly. What's the remedy?

Re: MP3 Export Crash
That was it! What an amazing difference! What's weird is that I never had that problem before. Was the default changed somewhere along the line to make this reset necessary? Oh, never mind; I'm just delighted it works again. This summer I'm teaching people how to use Audacity for the local community...

Re: MP3 Export Crash
Yes, stevethefiddle, the solution above solved the crashing problem--thank you very much! MP3 Export Crash
I am using 1.3.7 Beta. Exports in .wav are fine. Exports in MP3 are ugly, garbled, echoed. Now each MP3 export ends in an Audacity crash. Suggestions?

Re: Weak signal from microphone
I'm having the same problem with 1.3.7. I have good levels at the hardware mixer, strong playback from Audacity and playback on all other apps. But mic will not show a record level.
