Re: Art M-One Condenser Mic clipping like crazy (loud singin
I was not able to fix it, however recording using Adobe Audition is actually gets rid of a lot of clipping. Enough for the time being. Do you guys have any idea why? i assumed that its the exact same audio signal coming through, so why would 1 software be able to reduce clipping but the other not? ...

Re: Art M-One Condenser Mic clipping like crazy (loud singin
Have you checked that all Windows "sound enhancements" are off? (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements) Also, in the Windows Sound Control Panel , is the microphone set to record mono or stereo? (if it can be changed, try it both ways). I don't have...

Re: Art M-One Condenser Mic clipping like crazy (loud singin
I have an Art M-One Condenser Mic (USB) According to the specifications, that mic should be able to handle a very loud voice. Check in the Windows Sound Control Panel to ensure that Windows is not applying "boost" to the recording level. So I just checked and within the Art M-One Mic settings (in S...

Art M-One Condenser Mic clipping like crazy (loud singing)?
Hi, I have an Art M-One Condenser Mic (USB) http://artproaudio.com/microphones/product/m-one_usb/ And I use it mostly for voiceovers for my Youtube channel, but I'm starting music lessons and need it to record my voice for feedback. However, when I sing too loud, the audio starts distorting. I have ...

Re: Individual tracks OK, multiple tracks have buzz?
no audible buzz, even at +10dB amplification. The buzz will go up 6dB between one and two tracks. It will go up another 6dB between two and four tracks. So there's 12dB boost right there and we're only at four tracks. I'm not usually a fan of Noise Gate, but that may be the only way to help this. K...

Re: Individual tracks OK, multiple tracks have buzz?
Thank you very much for your replies. I will definitely try those. I also applied compression and noise removal to all the tracks if that has any bearing on the buzzing. Also, I did go through all the tracks individually and there was no audible buzz, even at +10dB amplification.

Individual tracks OK, multiple tracks have buzz?
I'm recording many tracks for a choir song (about 32 tracks in total) and when I record each track individually and play them back, there is no buzz, it sounds perfectly fine. But when I play it back, there is significant buzz, I'm not sure why? Running Audacity 2.0.0 and using an Art M One USB mic....
