Re: Alternative to ACX?
So that's upload number two on Bibliophone now (come on, that's double the content of what was on there this time yesterday..) and I have to say it's a lot better audio than my effort! It's a poem, not a full length story, but that's fine by me :) http://www.bibliophone.com/white-iron-maiden-by-mary...

Re: Alternative to ACX?
Thanks Koz, I appreciate your feedback, and thanks for wishing me luck - I'm quite certain I'll be needing it. You misunderstand me though or, as likely, I've misrepresented myself. By not enforcing strict audio parameters I'd like to see MORE discussion about quality on forums like this; yes I want...

Alternative to ACX?
I recorded an audio version of one of my short stories and, frankly, it sounded awful from a quality perspective! I got some great help from this forum and it sounded a lot better (albeit still not perfect, but that was down to my recording environment). The thing is, I wanted to publish it and not ...

"I don't need high quality, I just need high quality."
Where did I say that?! Wow you are a harsh teacher Koz. Appreciate your help though, either way

Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
Hey guys Thanks so much for all your time on this. Flynwill, I use a very inexpensive mic, a Samson go-mic. Then it's just plugged straight in to my desktop via a USB cable. I don't need my audio file to get past ACX filters, I just would like it to sound relatively good. I know that sounds strange ...

Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
Thanks Koz. Yes if you can give me the values - is it fairly straightforward to apply? I just follow the steps above? Sorry I'm somewhat the novice here..
Appreciate your help on this.

Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
Ok so I tried that and it worked great, but as you said, not perfect. Sooo.. I have now worked with the best advice you've all given which is to eliminate the buzz in the first place. I've done that and am really pleased with the result. Now what I want to do is clean it up...just a little bit. I ke...
