Re: File Error message
What is the file name you are attempting to write to? Never reach this steps, getting the error way before the end of the recording. What is the full error message after "/User/"? This is the full path where the application is creating the temp files. Do you get this error message immediately when ...

File Error message
While recording, getting a "File Error" message saying "Audacity failed to write a file. Perhaps /User/... is not writable or the disk is full" Audacity tells me there is a remaining of 66 hours of recording and as per the system, I still have 519 Gb free on the hard disk. Mac OS 10.15.5 Audacity 2....

Re: Is Audacity Compatible with MacOS High Sierra?
Here's my experience with High Sierra 10.13: I've notice a delay (roughly half a second) when listening to a track, but worse, recording using an application to redirect the internal sound to Audacity, Soundflower , give a choppy sound while recording. This is only cosmetic as the recording result i...

Re: Audacity 2.1.3 crash when exporting audio on Mac
Audacity can be misleading. As an UNDO, Audacity keeps complete copies of the work, as many as needed to make sure you can back up successfully to earlier versions of the show. That gets big in a hurry and if you never close Audacity, they stick around and get bigger...and bigger. I just created an...

Re: Audacity 2.1.3 crash when exporting audio on Mac
I don't think as I record one song at a time and erase it before recording another one. Song usually lasts no more than 4 to 5 minutes. That may be the important part of the post. Like you're running out of resources.

Audacity 2.1.3 crash when exporting audio on Mac
Audacity 2.1.3 installed from the .dmg OS 10.12.6 The application is crashing when I want to put a name in the "Save as" field from the "Export Audio" menu. I'm recording music (stereo, 32 floating bits 44100 Hz) and saving it as a project, then saving the recorded song using the "Saving as" feature...

Re: Upgrade to 2.1.0 and no more personal theme
Let's say I want to re-install everything from scratch, is there anything else to delete beside the following?
~/Library/Application Support/audacity/*
/Applications/Audacity/*
~/Library/Application Support/audacity/*
