More info, of course! I have streaming audio that was recorded way too low. If I were to amplify it would want to add around 8 db.Should I just add 4 db and be done with it? Or is there some other technique that I'm unaware of that requires more work but better results?Or am I over thinking this?

Is there another way instead of amplification to boost volume without the noise? I m thinking limiter and possibly slight Reverb, but would like to know
the most widely used and method of choice.

Does the Amplify effect also add any kind of unwanted noise? (even the slightest bit) ?

I have a rec that I think must not be in synch because it is very reverbish and echoed.Any way to correct?

As I have changed over to Windows 7, this question is for an XP computer. I need to add A 1 hour show to A 3 hour show.I made space available in front of the 3 hour by creating silence. I have tried copy / paste but that don't work.Thanx for your help.

I found the problem. I wasn't using the "export SELECTED audio" tab

I'm having trouble moving a section of my latest recording. I put in the correct numbers in the start and end of selection boxes yet it starts at the beginning of the recording.Can't understand why it's doing this all of the sudden!
