When I open the exported "blank" MP3 file in a new Audacity project, there is an Error Importing message: Audacity did not recognize the type of file. . . If it is uncompressed, try importing it using "Import Raw"

I have followed the steps to export MP3 files, but after the file exports it is blank. I downloaded Audacity 2.0.5.0 via .exe installer and I downloaded lame_enc.dll. Both are in the Program Files (x86) folder. LAME appears to be properly set: Audacity > Preferences > Libraries > MP3 Export Library ...
