Re: Always loop?
I'm so going to try C method right now. FYI, I actually want the selected portion to always loop, but if I click B/Ctrl+Mouse to start from there and when it reaches end to start again from the beginning of the selection. So actually it's not " Loop from cursor to track end " but " Don't interrupt l...

Always loop?
Hi, I'm trying to correctly loop about 30 seconds of music, however it is frustrating listening over and over the whole loop to see if start/end matches. Pressing B or Ctrl+Left click will play from a specified position, but it stops looping. Is there any way to make the audio loop when I select a s...

Re: SE4 plugin from LADSPA pack?
SE4 is a third party plug-in, and I agree it appears to be broken. You could try contacting Steve Harris as he is officially the maintainer of the "Steve Harris" plug-in collection, though these plug-ins are all rather old and I don't know to what extent he is still maintaining them. Can you PM any...

SE4 plugin from LADSPA pack?

The one included doesn't have Gain expansion (dB)? It acts as all other SCx compressors.
Am I overseeing something?

Re: Audacity and compressors
Mostly it's a quick and dirty "eliminate transients and normalize" for mp3s that are "messed up"...steve wrote:The appropriate "speed" of a compressor depends on what sort of compression effect you are trying to achieve. You've not said what "the job" is.

Re: Audacity and compressors
The built in compressor effect works pretty well, but it is quirky and takes a bit of getting used to. This compressor is a "look ahead" compressor - it looks ahead for peaks before they happen, and adjusts the gain in advance. Thus it does catch all of the peaks, no matter how fast they occur. Det...

Audacity and compressors
Hello, I'm having some issues with compressor, I have the default one that comes with Audacity, and I have installed the Plugin Pack from download In short, SC1-4 and Compressor can't catch very fast spikes/transients even though I set attack times to as fast as possible. No, I didn't put too short ...

Re: Low CPU usage while converting files
SSD disk where temp folder is located So that takes care of the drive armature hunt problem. Koz It's a really fast disk with fast write/read/IOps, so I really don't believe that temp folder/disk is the problem here. Also, there's a lot of RAM, especially since my PC doesn't use pagefile... Or did ...
