Re: Scripting to compress sessions?
I'm right in thinking that there is no Undo info in a session file, it's all the audio as-is at the time of saving?

Re: Scripting to compress sessions?
Didn't quite explain my self there. I'm keeping the lossless files on an external drive. This does not stay attached to either machine. I want to make OGG copies to put back on the Windows machine for reference, I suppose I could just make MP3's, but I find the multitracks more useful, if I need the...

Scripting to compress sessions?
Debian Stable - Audacity 2.0.1 & Win XP - Audacity 1.3.14-beta I have a lot of lossless 24-bit sessions on my windows machine, that I will be copying off to an external drive, but I wondered if anyone has scripted a way to go through a number of Audacity sessions, and convert them to the compressed ...

Re: 8 outputs audio card
Gale, no I'm just using the stock binaries for Windows, I don't have any compilation capability on my Windows machine, just recording software.
I use Linux on my everyday machine, and if Audacity was multi channel capable in both directions, I'd switch my audio computer to use it too probably.

Re: 8 outputs audio card
I do Export Multiple, then Import Media Items into Reaper, but that just encourages me to mix it in the box
Soundcraft EQ's are generally quite good, seems a shame to waste them.

Re: 8 outputs audio card
Way back in 2008, I had the same issue, M-Audio1010 card, Soundcraft mixer, and eight tracks of audio that I wanted to process in the analog realm. I ended up processing the tracks a pair at a time, running them through the board and back into Audacity, so I had eight original tracks and eight proce...
