I am using a USB recordable turntable. Connection is straight from turntable to USB port. I am aware of no pre-amp. Thanks!

I am having the same problem recording vinyl. I am on Vista with Audacity 1.2.6. The Channels are set at 2 (Stereo) under EditPreferencesAudio IO. The same thing comes across on both channels. Some recordings are also a little "tinny", with some sounds boosted and some minimized. I am tryi...
