Actually, I figured out the problem. I didn't match the rates. I was copying a 44100Hz clip into a 8000Hz project. All I had to do was change the rates. I didn't move or change the locations. At least, I don't think I did.kozikowski wrote:
It's usually a very bad idea to change locations, folders, or directories after you start a Project. Audacity will look for files in the same location--always. If they're not present, very odd things can happen.

I've been using Audacity for about a week now. Nonstop. For a project that is due tomorrow. I recorded and edited 15-20 sounds and have begun copying them into one window to begin placing them in the right order and timings and whatnot.
