I'm trying to set up 2.1.2 on my new Win10home. I have it installed, Lame and ffmpeg located.
I thought I was getting close, but every time I touch the play or record button, I get an error message.
I'm kinda stuck. And sure would be grateful for a nudge in the right direction.

I am trying to grab a few seconds of audio from an mpg file.
My first attempts opening an mpg video file in Audacity came out all screechy. I've tried open and import raw.
Audacity tells me it doesn't recognize the file type.

How can I extract a few seconds of audio from a video file?

I imported an mp3 file. Edited the tag, and exported. The file size increased by half, from 21 MB to 33.6 MB. (File/Open-select a 13.2 MB mp3.
