Hi, I'm purchasing a mac for recording conferences and meetings and am looking for the right software to record them with.
Is this software stable enough? Would you recommend anyother software over this for mac for recording.
I need to be able to record direct to mp3.

You really need to get a 2 channel USB audio interface. This is a box with 2 XLR inputs and a USB connection to your computer. Lots available - M-Audio, E-Mu, Roland, Line6 all make them. You're right. On 1.3 you can type a label as soon as ctrl-m is pressed while its still recording. Excellent! I was using 1.2

I want to try and tweak the command for adding a label during playback. Currently the shortcut Control-M adds a label while you are recording. I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to add text to this by editing the XML file. I was hoping that as well as creating a marker when the shortcut...
