Thank you for replying. As I told you I have two PC:s with the same software. Joining of Audacity projects works in the portable PC but not in the main PC. There must be something in the basic software in the main PC when Audacity does not work properly in it. Thank you for your comments.

Opening two recordings does not work
Using Ubuntu 8.0 I want to join two earlier recorded files. When I open the firs file everything is working OK. When i open the next file in a New window the system is blocked.
