Re: Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
I'm running Audacity 2.0.5. and I'm using a 64-bit machine. So that would be it, then I guess.

Re: Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
The sample rate is 44100Hz They're mostly mono, but the last success I had was Stereo. One at a time, up to 5. But I can't get past the first one. It seems to be crashing with all projects. Tried the noise gate on a newly generated project, same deal. I have new audio for this week's podcast and the...

Re: Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
Well my problem is that it's crashing now when it didn't before. I used to have less memory, so I just don't understand why it's happening. And because it's happening to a friend too, I assumed it had to do with some kind of update but I really don't know.

Re: Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
I downloaded the Nyquist Noise Gate Plug-in, hence the topic placement.
I got it from this page on the wiki.

Re: Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
Ah, yes I must have clicked on the wrong one. Apologies.
I also just upgraded my computer to 8gb of RAM from the 4gb that previously worked just fine. A friend of mine is having a similar problem by the way, so any fix would benefit us both.

Noise Gate Crashing Audacity.
I wanted to post this in the Windows forums, but it's locked for the time being, I guess. I'm running a noise gate on a track of audio that is over 1.5 hours long and I usually have no trouble with it. Now when the noise gate is almost finished, Audacity crashes. I tried updating to the newest versi...

Equaling out to voices on one track.
I recently did a 25 hour stream of a challenge in the game Pokemon Fire Red with a friend of mine. We had two separate feeds put on the same page. He had his game on his stream, and I had my game and both of our voices on mine. I was going to make a video series out of this stream and everyone that ...

Re: Remove white noise from voice as well as background.
I'll try this, thank you very much! Will report back if I have no luck with it and I'll have a sound clip ready for testing.

Remove white noise from voice as well as background.
I'm using Audacity 2.0 on Windows 7 I use the noise removal filter all the time. It removes the background noise whenever they're not speaking, but if there's a lot of background noise it always sounds like a wave is flowing over the microphone whenever they start talking. Is there a way to remove t...

Re: Removing echo of one track from another.
I used the Noise Gate and it works great, thank you! Now that I've got you here, is there an easy way to level out multiple tracks? In a way that would make everyone sound like they're talking at the same volume. I do this every week by ear and sometimes I feel like it's not good enough once I've al...
