Re: Working with avi files
Yeah - don't have QTPro - need to figure out how to do this with ffmpeg. I've tried straight File>Open and File>Import, doesn't seem to make any difference .... I still have a stand alone audio file when done. Maybe I'll post in ffmpeg forums or VideoHelp.com, they're the ones that helped me find au...

Re: New to Audio Editing - Help please
Thank you .... seems I may be getting somewhere. I zoomed way in and found the 1 second ticks in the time line at the top and selected 1+ seconds > copied the selection > then pasted it at the front end of each track. It appears to have 'shifted the rest of the audio like i think I need it. Exportin...

Re: New to Audio Editing - Help please
When you "Export" the edited audio, Audacity will mix and render the project into a single continuous audio file. Any gaps in the audio (including any gap at the beginning) will be rendered as silence. Ok - I'll dig in and see what I can do, granted all I want is probably as basic an 'edit' as can ...

Re: New to Audio Editing - Help please
The first thing is to check that the fault really is with the file and not with your player - try playing it in (the free) VLC player. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html My edited dvd plays the same in the Mac DVD Player, VLC and the home dvd player (an inexpensive sony player) If you...

New to Audio Editing - Help please
I'm brand new to audio editing. I'm a hobbyist with video editing. I have a movie file in which the audio and video are out of sync. I have a few basic tools, among them Ffmpeg which I have used to convert an avi file to VIDEO_TS. The sync issue is not present in the original avi file. It shows up i...

Re: Does ffmpeg feature not work on Mac?
I too was having this difficulty and visited the link a couple replies up, chose the nightly from 1/6/09 and all is well regarding audacity and ffmpeg libraries. I'm probably not the user to be using a beta build but thought I would give it a whirl. FWIW - the Audacity Application inside the 1.3.7a ...
