Re: stop between tracks on playback

Not with software, it depends on the functions of your CD player.
Alternatively, you could insert a silence for a couple of seconds after each track. That gives you some time to hit the pause button before the next track starts.

Re: Cutting waveform and shifting markers

Thanks for the replies!
I already figured out I'll "downgrade"" to 1.3.9. because this function is very important to me. But I'll keep an eye on the release of 1.3.12.

Cutting waveform and shifting markers

In 1.3.9 one could cut out a piece of the recording, and the markers would shift forward, thus staying at the original and intended point where you set them originally. In earlier versions, they stayed at their absolute position. So I considered 1.3.9. better! In 1.3.10 and 1.3.11 again the markers ...

Re: Multi-Channel Simultaneous Recording Release

Sounds logical to me, why didn't I figure that out myself? :? So I'll just make a basic recording with the provided software, import all tracks in Audacity and edit them!

Re: Multi-Channel Simultaneous Recording Release

Koz, your explanation is clear to me, but still this puzzles me. I have an old 8-channel board (Guillemot Maxi Studio ISIS). Actually it has 4 stereo inputs, but you can also configure them 8 mono. In the supplied software this works, but I'd rather use Audacity :D . But in Audacity I can only choos...

setting markers bug in 1.3.10?

As concluded in this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8021 there apparently was a bug in an earlier version of 1.3 putting markers at 00:00 when hitting M for the second time. Now, in 1.3.10 I was happily surprised to see this bug is fixed! (hurray for the developing team!!!...

Re: does not find MP3 encoder

I shall be more precise, I was a bit in a hurry yesterday...... By default, the LAME encoder is in c:program fileslame for audacity. So, from within the find library dialog box I go there to find the library, which actually is there. But when I try to load the file, nothing happens. It still says "l...

Re: does not find MP3 encoder

I've tried all the steps, including those on the LAME installation page: deleted old libraries, deleted the audaciti.cfg file etc. still it can't find the library. At last I deleted everything, uninstalled Audacity, removed all directories and started all over. Still it can't find the library... :-(...

Re: 1.3.6 Click Removal and Export Multiple?

Unpredictable? Uhm, right. That's just what I experienced now, to my surprise. Because in 1.3.4 just M worked fine. Apparently something else is fixed that caused this new bug.
