Re: Distorted Recording
Well, I'm embarrassed to say PROBLEM SOLVED. Turns out my LOGITECH camera/microphone was turned on. Logitech was picking up and recording the music from my speakers rather than the music being directly input to the computer from my satellite receiver. Once I corrected that, the recorded music sounde...

Re: Distorted Recording
Music is from one of the DirecTV music channels with a direct connection between the satellite receiver and the computer. The original sound is fine but the recorded version sounds like it's being played in a tunnel. The link provided by Koz has a section entitled "Why do my recordings fade out or s...

Re: Distorted Recording
I've tried following the link provided by Koz, but many of the settings suggested seem unavailable (at least I can't find them) and ones I can find don't help. Nothing I do gets rid of the "tunnel" or "barrel" sound upon playback of recorded music. The music sounds fine on the computer speakers whil...

Distorted Recording
The music I recorded sounded fine during the recording. But, when I played back the recording, the sound was distorted. It sounded sort of like it was being played in a barrel. Any idea what could be causing this?

Using Windows 7 and Audacity 2.1.1
I have songs recorded at different amplitudes (volumes) on the same project. How do I change the amplitude of one relative to another?

Re: Track Labels
Well, duh!! I did download version 2.1.1. But then I discovered I just hadn't gone far enough. When "Exporting Multiple" to the memory card for use in my car, I found that I have the opportunity at that point to put in the artists' names.

Track Labels
Using Audacity 2.0.0
In preparing music CDs, there are 2 audio (Stereo) tracks. I can add a track label with the titles of the songs. How can I add a label with the artist's (singer's) name that will be recognized as such by my CD player?

Re: Export multiple files [SOLVED]
Well duh! It hadn't occurred to me that I could create multiple folders in my memory card and then "Export Multiple" to those different folders. With a little bit of experimenting, I was able to create multiple named folders each containing multiple songs and titles, all of which was recognized by m...

Re: Export multiple files
I do want to have the titles for the songs. Just using File>Export doesn't give the titles. And using File>Export Multiple places each song and its title in a separate file. With hundreds of songs in different genres, this becomes very inconvenient to access what you're looking for. What I'd like is...

Re: Export multiple files
Can you provide me with step-by-step instructions on how to create a Cue Sheet? Or refer me to instructions somewhere? The Audacity manual doesn't help much.
