Thanks, I found it. It is the zoom in zoom out feature that does that.

I recorded part of my project, saved it into a file, and reimported it into the platform to continue to work on adding to it until I have finished. But when I was recording the first time the screen display was guaged in seconds so it was easy to edit out parts that were dead space. Now that I have ...

I am using Windows XP. Maybe that is the difference, I don't know. Yes, that is what we do to delete what we want to take out, and shift + R does make it start recording again, but like I said, it starts a new track instead of recording in the track I edited. I am trying to record a business presentation to send to a prospective client but I need to be able to pause when I make an error, edit out the error back to a certain spot, and then unpause the recording so I can make it right then.
