Yes, I know it looks like that, but I can't paste other audio over it, nor can I hear audio in other tracks beneath it when I add them. They'll play when they're under the top audio track, but not under the blank space.

I'm using 2.1.6 on powerbook (having lost about 30 hours of work on audacity 3 last night). When I import wavs, they all have extra dead space at the end. It's a lighter shade of grey than where the file actually exists, and has no wav form in it. The cursor stops when it gets to it. However, I cann...
