Hi Br3nt,I have the same problem with my Audacity, I play accoustic Guitar & I have a 4 channel stereo Mixer that i use channel 1 for the Drum machine channel 2 for the guitar & channel 4 for the voice,. CAN I RECORD & MIX FOR TRACKS ON AUDACITY & mix them

Is your Mic turned On?? If not Turn your mixer On. If You have 1 OK. The only other thing I can tell you is check in your sound & Devices properties in Control Panel. & go to Voice & make sure it says RealTek AC97 & that should work it Does for me I hope this Helps you out

Hi, The problem is Your recording or line input volume might be too high. If you have a mixer like I have a 4 channel sound mixer from Radio Shack & Plug your cable from your guitar into your mixer if you have a pickup in your guitar i've got a fender accoustic. What you have to Do is Download A Lame file to export as MP3 i'm not sure what the name of file is but my dad helped me out with my Audacity Recorder program! MULTI-Track recordings work GREAT
Hi, I have The Audacity recorder program & what I did was I went to preferences on the edit menu clicked on audio IO & go down to you see play track while recording a new one I play Lead guitar in my recordings & it works great,Along with ,my Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine! Hope this helps Tommy Benson
