Re: What Hardware/Setup Combo do I need?
Once again, thanks for your feedback (obvious pun will not be made here). I need to stress: There is absolutely NO chance that I will do outside recording. And little to none, that I will record somewhere else. It’s a comedy podcast, you can compare it to comedy bang bang. 8/10 times, it's me and th...

Re: What Hardware/Setup Combo do I need?
Update Ok, so I think I will put up some money and go with something like this: 1) 2 Mics, behringer C1 for example. About 45 USD a piece. Then maybe cheaper ones for guests, or even two more c1s. 2) Mixer: Behringer XENYX QX1202 USB: 130 USD 3) Cables + stands, another 120 bucks. 4) hooking a lapto...

Re: What Hardware/Setup Combo do I need?
I will post back, when I get the chance to try something. I'm not too crazy about the phone idea. I would have to rely on everybody's phone every time, and have no way to know how the quality will turn out etc. I get the part where I put the different audios together, that's easy. But having to get ...

Re: What Hardware/Setup Combo do I need?
holly crap, now that is a great first answer! haha, thank you very much. I will read through that a few times and check what would work for me. To specify: My PC is not a laptop. that really is my tower I work with (gamer PC). So yeah, lifting this thing "downstairs" every time is no option. But if ...

What Hardware/Setup Combo do I need?
Hi all (you can also skip my lenghty intro to "my question") Here is what I have been doing: After some research a year ago, I bought a Blue Mic Yeti and started a comedy podcast. It is me plus my co-host and as you might guess, the audio was kind of lacking, but we didn’t really care, since it was ...

Re: Recording: 1 Mic + PC Sound to different Tracks
I have tried several things now. Kristal works, and I was able to record both, the mic and my mp3, on 2 different tracks. Although a bit on the "quiet" side... so enhancement would be needed. I decided to just record our voices, and do the rest in post. (although I have another problem now, my yeti ...

Re: Recording: 1 Mic + PC Sound to different Tracks
Oh, and remember this isn't a Help Desk. It's a forum. If you get one to work, post back and say how. Koz Wow, maybe it's just your writing style, but sometimes it comes across pretty agressive? Haven't had the chance to do anything podcasty since this afternoon, had guests and now its 01:30am in S...

Re: Recording: 1 Mic + PC Sound to different Tracks
Wow, that's great News!
I don't care that much, that I don't hear my voice over the mic (again, keep in mind: Supernoob speaking). The first few tests I ran, I turned the mic in my headphones down, because of echo.
So a combo of these two products sound great.

Re: Recording: 1 Mic + PC Sound to different Tracks
No, haven't found anything yet. Oh my, Skype interviewing was in the very distant future, but planned as well.. haha. So I guess all I can do, is record our voices, still play the intros etc so we can hear it , but I will have to add all that during the edit phase? Is there a way I could set bookmar...

Recording: 1 Mic + PC Sound to different Tracks
Hi guys I've read my way through many tutorials and faq's here, so I really hope that I haven't missed a post that already answers this question (although... it MUST be somewhere) For my podcast I want to use one Blue Yeti MIC for our voices. But I also want to be able to play some intros for segmen...
