I solved my problem by solved by installing lame 3.97 instead of 3.98
Exports multiple mp3's like a champ.....

Since is works this way, do you think I should try to find a lame 3.98 that works....
what are the advantages of 3.98 over 3.97

I am a new user but I have the same problem. I had a long mp3 that I wanted to split. I applied labels and then used export multiple files. The resulting exported mp3's all played at very fast speed....I looked at them individually in audacity....they all played at fast speed in audacity...
