OK, I tried a couple of things. First of all, the volume was low on both WAV and MP3 files when I exported. However, I did an "amplify" operation and then exported and things were MUCH better on both WAV and MP3. I'm not sure why, but apparently the loudness of recordings within Audacity just appear...

Very good questions. Let me try exporting something as WAV.

I can record into Audacity and everything is fine volume-wise. When I export into an MP3 file, the volume is extremely low. I've tried equalizing the tracks before exporting, but it doesn't seem to matter. Does anyone have a clue regarding this low-volume issue. It's a pretty dramatic decline. TIA.
