Hello, something going wrong with cursor positioning (probably some setting that I messed with)... When click on track the cursor positions only at each second position... the same when moving with left/right arrow. Never saw this before. Usually can precisely position (where click) or smoothly move...

Sure that the cut down version is not usable.
So at least I know that original file is not suitable for voice removing with Audacity.

thanks for such a quick reply and the info about using mp3 as a playback. Most of the playbacks I use are in mp3. I use them for live shows and it sounds without any noticeable flaws.
