I went to Control Panel > Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game Controller > found Samson GoMic (like before) and it reported to be working properly (like before). Hi, I have an interesting problem. Fresh install, exe installer, Audacity 2.0.6, Lenovo Thinkpad Edge Laptop, Win 7 Pro, Samson USB Go Mic. Hi Koz, The microphone is made by Samson and the model is "Go Mic". It does have an output jack on it for head phones so I'll try that and see if positioning makes much of a difference.
