after i complete a selection & try to save it to Export as WAV, i cant find it to use with Picasa Movie Maker. I downloaded Lame for windows 7, but when i try to open it, it says cant open it..All i want to do is to be able to use the finished song with other programs & not only play...please tell m...

If you are on Windows, I believe that there is a wma encoder (converts WAV into WMA) available free directly from Microsoft (available from the Microsoft web site). On the PCs, chances are that will happen, too. Maybe so and maybe not. Old SoundBlaster cards had a hardware MIDI synthesiser built in, so MIDI files would almost always play without any problem. If you click and hold inside the timeline--the blue waves--and drag sideways, that portion of the song will change color. That colored section has been "selected." Koz O.K. I did that and it changed color but when i went up to Effects, it wouldnt still let me do anything...i also tried the Ctrl + R...

If you open up the MID file, doesn't it play by itself? So what you really need is a program to record the Mac output while the performance is playing. I use WireTap to do that on My Mac quickly and easily, but that cost money. You can use SoundFlower to do the same thing from a free Apple download...
