Thanks. Now I got it working. I can hear it if I have both ''Start Monitoring' and 'Software Playthrough' selected.

For the device, recording has to be set to USB Audio CODEC. If you plug it in after you open Audacity, you have to close Audacity and re-open it, and then it'll show up as an option.

How do I get it so I can play a recorder that's plugged into my iMac and then Audacity records the audio as it's being played? And how do I get it so I can hear it playing as I record it? I got two different options to try. UCA202, which is right next to the recorder, and a Male to Male Cable, which...

Yep, that was it. Now it works just fine!

An Olympus recorder. On my old iMac, connecting it to the computer via the Male To Male Stereo Audio Cable worked just fine, so I'm guessing the cord just might not work with UCA202.
