Re: mp3 sounds distorted after imported to audacity
Hello all, I use Audacity to play my radio program. I noticed today that two mp3s I dropped into Audacity started sounding distorted. When I searched online, I came across this thread. There are around 30 other MP3s in the two-hour long program. None of the other MP3s had an issue. I have been using...

Re: Start playing tracks on a second project...
Thanks!
You are right, there is the danger of interrupting a critical recording project if the other project can stop it.
However, it could be made an option. Default would be not to be able to let the second project control the recording/playing.

Start playing tracks on a second project...
Hello all, With an older version of Audacity, while, say, I was playing tracks on Project 1, I could click the play button on Project 2. This would automatically stop Project 1 from playing, and let me continue on Project 2. I cannot do that with version 2.4.2. I looked at settings to see if there i...

Re: How do I see the total time when tracks are not aligned end-to-end
Hello Waxcylinder and Trebor, Both of your methods just show the time for the longest track in my project. Remember, the beginning of all my tracks are at point 0. The way I prepare a two-hour program starts with choosing my music first and then putting it into Audacity. Without putting the tracks e...
