Audacity Forum

No sftware came with the iMic (I do not think it needs any). The PC recognizes it and I am able to select it as the recording device in the Windows audio control pannel and in the Audacity preferences. I can hear the source (music) and see recording levels, but I cannot control the recording levels....

Hi:

I’m a new user trying to use iMic to record lps etc. onto my Dell D600 laptop with Windows XP Professional.

For some reason the recording level slider bar is unresponsive – i.e., I cannot control the recording levels. Any ideas why this is?
