Re: Audacity records web browser page loaded "ding".
Robert: Go to your Windows Sound Applet, and switch all sounds off for all events. Have a look at http://www.frontierdg.com/winXPNoSound.aspx for detailed explanations and video. Save your new sound settings as a new Windows Sound Scheme so that you can always go back to it easily. Beware, if you go...

Re: Audacity records web browser page loaded "ding".
Gale: If you want to record through Total Recorder's virtual driver recording device that grabs sound direct from the application (no other dings), then I suggest the obvious thing to do is to use that to record directly in Total Recorder. You can save a WAV in Total Recorder for later editing in Au...

Thanks for the tips. My CD burner lists CD-Text, but I won't know whether I can add it or not until I burn my next one.

Re: Audacity records web browser page loaded "ding".
Koz: I am posting this before my post last night to you has been approved, so if I repeat anything, I'm sorry. I noticed that there are several additional entries on my Audacity Device Toolbar, Input Device. There are three of them. 'Record through Total Recorder: Mic Volume; Line Volume; and Stereo...

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll go back to recording with Total Recorder, and editing with Audacity (which is fabulous for editing, thank you).

Thanks for the information. Sorry that only one Metadata data set is exported per project. Is this something that could be added in the future, or is it not technically possible? (I know about Export Multiple, but that creates all individual files, which is not what I want.)

Audacity records web browser page loaded "ding".
I have Audacity 2.0.0, running on Windows XP Pro, SP2. I downloaded the .exe file. I also have Total Recorder 8.3, which I got before Audacity. When I am recording long sessions from CD's, Tape, etc. via my Stereo System and my Sonos, I frequently work concurrently using my web browser, searching fo...

Re: Saving Undocked and resized toolbars
I can't 100% answer your question. I 'think' I get the Welcome screen, but I am so used to just clicking to bypass it that I might have missed it. I can't answer the Preferences either. On Preferences: Libraries I have had to re-point MP3 and FFmpeg to the correct locations, but I don't really remem...

Merge files and keep track tags
I have Audacity 2.0.0, installed from the .exe file. My OS is Windows XP Pro, SP2. I am new at Audacity and creating files with tags, so I am sure the answer to my question is somewhere in the manual or on this forum, but I have searched and searched, with no results. I have created an .aup file of ...

Saving Undocked and resized toolbars
I have Audacity 2.0.0, installed from the .exe file. I run on Windows XP Pro, SP2. I am new to Audacity, and find it to be very well done. As a new user, I find the on-line manual to be great--I wish all programs where this thorough. I have undocked/resized the meter toolbar, and also made some othe...
