Re: WAV file OK, double-speed MP3
However, the file size is huge, so back to the drawing board. I'll try other encoders.

Re: WAV file OK, double-speed MP3
I got it to work, but it wasn't easy!
In Audacity, I set the parameters as 11,025, 16-bit PCM. The WAV then played back slow, but when I exported, the MP3 was at the correct speed.
Surely there must be a better way, but that's one way.

Re: WAV file OK, double-speed MP3
Thanks, I tried that, but no dice.
I downloaded iTunes, hoping to convert with it. iTunes info about my WAV file: mono, 16-bit, sample rate 22,050.
I went back to Audacity and tried to export based on that, but same story.

Re: WAV file OK, double-speed MP3
Yes, the exported WAV sounds correct. And thanks, I will use an outside converter if Audacity can't do the job.
I wonder if it could be the lame_enc.dll file.

WAV file OK, double-speed MP3
I have a Dell X51 Pocket PC and the Resco Radio software. I am able to record internet radio as MP3. It appears to be at 32 KBPS. I can listen to the recorded file and it sounds perfect. I import it to Audacity and it sounds fine. I try to export it as MP3 and the result is always double speed. I ex...
