The original sounds are normal. When recording, I heard it on the headphone, and they sounded normal. When I play back after recording through Audacity, they were bad. I suspect it was the recording.

cannot record in stereo
I have windows xp. The recordings were fine until a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden, all line ins and microphones are recorded in stereo but with both channels identical, as if in mono. Help.

When I record, after every 6 seconds, the line goes flat. Then when I stop, everything is gone, with just one long flat line. There is no sound or anything being recorded.
