Well, I had the earlier version installed until about 2 weeks ago. I would not be surprised that a Windows update has screwed up 3.0.0. It didn't seem to do that to the previous version. Is the previous version available?

Windows 10, version 3.0.0. for some reason, I can't get the new version to recognize line in...I want to record from a reel to reel tape deck, using every output source from my receiver. Sorry for the delay in replying. No, I bought a computer with Win 10 installed. I've not had this problem until about 2 weeks ago. Never had it not start recording until audio is present. I liked the ability to have a 3 or 4 second delay before I start audio. Seems like this was a fix that happened ...

First off, using Windows 10. And currently Audacity 2.2.1..I have been using 2.1.1 for some time with no problems. Finally got around to changing the plug...took care of it. Some days I just astound myself with my ability to forget things. I read in the audacity manual about the blue jack...Oy, veh!

Kinda dark where my computer back end is...even looked with a flashlight...only plug not i.d'ed didn't look blue...but will have to give it another look. I was thinking it was an input mismatch anyway...
outside of that minor detail, it appears that audacity will be perfect for what I need. Thanks
