I guess I'll have to use the analogue RCA outs from the turntable and go in through my computer's line in.

OK. I am the dope who never reads the detailed instructions of others. Apparently high-level output is a common problem with USB turntables, and it looks like the only possible fix is a replacement cartridge.

I am running Windows 7, and I am using Audacity 2.0 to record from a turntable through a USB. I have the input/recording volume turned virtually all the way down, but my audio is still clipping. I can make the blue waveform shrink within the channel, but it is still hitting an invisible wall. I thin...
