I have version 1.3 beta and have windows 7. I am trying to transfer old Vinyl records from a mono record player to my laptop. I would like to improve the quality of sound before i burn to disc but cannot find anything on audacity or windows media to do this. I must stress , i am not very technology ...

I am trying to record from turntable to laptop with windows 7. I've downloaded the new version as requested but am totally confused once recording has been transferred, as to what to save it as. I want to burn to cd so i can play on a disc player.
Not computer savvy at all so PLEASE HELP.
