Thank you! I am pretty sure this worked. So far the recordings on the computer seem clear and not having the fading problem( hard to tell coming through it's little speakers)! I'll know more once I download some more 45's to make a full cd to burn! So far so good with disabling the systems effects! ...

This is the first time I've used Audacity. I hooked up my phonograph to receiver, and receiver to laptop. I turned levels down on most everything so that I don't blow my soundcard as It's plugged into my mic jac. I recorded my vinyl using the program and it sounds better than the original record! ye...
